Baird Internship
I was the graphic design intern at Baird from June 2020 until January 2022. Working with a small design team along with the other teams within the Marketing and Communications department, I created a wide range of different projects for the firm. I have selected a few projects where I had more creative control over the direction of the project!
This internship was an amazing opportunity to see how an in-house design team operates, and I enjoyed every new challenge or opportunity presented to me.
Firm Holiday Animation 2021
Every holiday season, a short video is sent out to Baird associates and clients. One of the designers usually worked on this project every year, but this year he reached out to me to provide a few additional concepts to the client.
We each designed a few concepts and presented the options to the client. My sledding illustration was chosen and I then animated the illustration in After Effects for the final video. I really enjoyed working on this project and being able to work with video and sound instead of static design!
Baird Associate Holiday Card 2021
This holiday card went out to the entire firm for the 2021 holiday season! I had a lot of creative freedom for this card, as long is it fit the general holiday season theme. All of the designs were completely built out by me using Illustrator for the red Christmas sweater design and the snowflake design, and then I illustrated the holiday village in Procreate. The village ended up being the final design that was sent out to all the associates at Baird.

Woodward Dream Cruise
These concepts were for a car show event from the summer of 2021. The client had some color palette ideas in mind, and wanted the designs to fit the vintage car style of the event. The car that was being highlighted at the event for this year was the Ford Fairlane, so that had to be present in the design as well. I had two concept directions for this project. One was inspired by vintage-style poster designs I found while looking for inspiration, and the other were based on the idea of neon signs and drive-in theaters.

Social Media Posts
In fall of 2020 I was asked to create a series of social media posts for a few holidays coming up through the year. Beyond the list of holidays needed, the style of the posts were up to me, and I ended up illustrating them all using Procreate on my iPad. For the 4th of July post, a short animation was requested, which I illustrated in Procreate then animated in After Effects.
Toast of Baird
Toast of Baird is an annual internal awards celebration that I was able to design the materials for in 2020 and 2021. This project started with sets of concepts that were presented to the client to choose a final direction. After this, the final design was used to build out all the different materials. There was more creative freedom with these, as long as the theme was fun and celebratory!
